Donuts from God

Okay, some of you may roll your eyes at this, but I think it's SO cool.

Today I was substitute teaching at Faith Academy. While I was sitting there, I felt the cellphone in my pocket vibrate, telling me (on "Discreet" mode) that I received a text. I decided I should wait until after class to read it.

When I finally got to read the message, I saw it was from Alex. He said, "I'm stuck at the mall because of rain (he was on his motorcycle), Do you need anything?" After some consideration, I texted back "Krispy Kreme." I knew that since it was 45 minutes after he first texted, he probably was not at the mall anymore. He didn't respond.

I came home and was here for quite a while. Alex flew through the door, grabbed something, and said "I have to go to school to drop off bracelets for someone."
About an hour later he came back with a gift...a box of Krispy Kreme donuts. I said "Oh! I thought you didn't get my text in time." He said "I didn't...I was already on the road when you texted. But when I went to school, the woman who I was giving the bracelets to said, 'Hey, I have a gift for you,' and promptly handed him the box of donuts.

God just never ceases to reach into our world with love. :D

I guess that just goes to show that God will sometimes give us what we want even if it's not good for us.... ;-)
