Just wanted to tell you about a cool thing God did for me the other day...but the story actually begins several months ago.
As the Wednesday morning Bible study at church was ending, my mom and I decided to get a Bible study to do together and continue meeting on Wednesdays throughout the summer. I had heard several people share how much they enjoyed studies from Beth Moore, so I visited Basic Books in Oshkosh to find one. There were several in stock, so I called my mom on the cell to discuss with her which one we should do, and settled easily on "Living Beyond Yourself - a study on the fruit of the spirit." I decided to buy two more to take with me to the Philippines to keep me going. I chose her study on Daniel, and one called "Stepping Up - A journey through the Psalms of ascent."
Fast forward. I was struggling at our house in Manila one day to find a quiet place to concentrate on my time with God, so I decided "You meet friends at Starbuck's...why not God?!" So I gathered up all my books and Bible and headed to Starbuck's for my quiet time.
While I was sitting there, Paula, a woman I know from Faith, walked in. She came over to say hello and noticed the Beth Moore study I had. I told her that I loved the study, but had never done one with the videos that go along with it. She said "Well, I am going to be starting one in January...my church is sending the videos. It is called 'Stepping Up.'" So awesome! I already have the book! Now I also get to do the videos! :)
There's more. I told her I had one other book I was doing between now and January, the one on Daniel...(just so happens my mom is doing a study on Daniel at our home church, so we'll enjoy discussing what we're learning!). Anyway, Paula then chimes in with "Well I have the videos on Daniel, too! You can use them if you want."
Isn't that cool!?! The two studies I chose to bring with me are the exact studies Paula had videos for. :) That totally brightened my day, to see how God wanted to bring me joy!
